I'm originally from the midwest so I say pop. Everyone down here says soda tho.

It depends where I am. In the bar I always say Pop, or use a brand or generic name as cols or Sprite, other wise I end up with soda water. With friends I say soda, they know what I'm talking about.

I live in Texas and everyone around here calls all "soda" coke. It was really hard for me to get it. I am originally from Colorado and we say pop there. So every one looks at me funny when I order a pop. But when some one is all, "hey, do you want a coke?" I'm all no I want a Dr. Pepper. And they look at me funny.
