I have been on the shot for almost 3 years. I have recently switched to the pill due to all the new information on how awful the shot can be for your bones. I am on my first day of "dummy" pills. I am curious to when I will get a period again since I have been on the shot for so long. Does anyone have any ideas?

I did the same thing for the exact same reason!

I was on the shot for four years and got off of it and onto Kariva.

With that pill, it took till the end of my third pill pack to get my periods back.

Good luck and best wishes that we don't suffer from the shot anymore :)

it is normal for your period to screw up when you change birth controls. if you don't get it this month don't worry too much, and if it makes you feel better take a pregnancy test. your period should regualte in the coming months. i changed my birthcontroll a few months ago from Yasmin to Loestrine 24 and i used to get my period 2 times a month but now it's normal. bithcontrol does strange things to your body, so just go with the flow for now. hope this helps!
