Barry Bonds is a great hitter and does not take steroids. I agree that people do have their opinions, but please base them on facts and not hearsay.

If you have proof from MLB, the SF Giants or the independent medical testing laboratories that he tested positive, please share it with the rest of the World.

Even during the time that he was under suspicion, if he got injured, he stayed injured for a long time. Steroids helps in recovery from injury quicker.

With a "big head" (?????) and oversized muscles, he could not hit HR's at a frightening pace because huge head size and tight muscles would restrict a fast bat speed.

With bad eyesight, which steroids can cause, he would not be able to see the ball sharply and cannot focus on it clear enough to follow the flight of the ball before hitting it.

His younger brother said he was "chubby" and "fat". Steroids will not make you like that. The end result for Barry Bonds on steroids would be; bad eyesight, abusive attitude and fights every day with teammates, body built like Mr. Universe and virtually no injury days off.

That's proof enough to show that even on steroids, it will not give you any type of edge to hit HR's.

I hate to interrupt it to you, yet Barry Bonds isn't the best baseball participant of all time. If Barry had performed his finished profession without using steroids and nevertheless held an identical stats, then you definately could have a controversy.

Bonds has been a great hitter regardless of what Chemicals X he may have used.

Steroids do not and never will explain his absolute mastery of his own strike zone, his unprecedented ability to take walks, his preternatural vision. Rant all you want; steroids don't improve eyesight, and his is the very best. And no one else playing in recent years has shown anything nearly similar to what Bonds has done in terms of on-base ability. So one of three conditions must obtain:

1. He used better stuff than anyone else -- doubtful, as BALCO had other clients.

2. He has unique biochemistry that allowed better manifestation of responses than anyone else -- possible, but unprovable, and not very likely.

3. He really is that good. Three NL MVP Awards in the early 1990s support this, but facts get in the way of a good, mouth-foaming, deranged rant, and the haters don't want to hear this one. Besides, critical thinking cuts into the time they use to practice tying lynch-noose knots, sharpening pitchforks, and dipping torches.

OK Who wasn't on roids I mean seriously how do you know 45 yr old Clemens or Arod aren't depending on who you believe 40-70% of Mlb players were on juice so why is it just Bonds that were concerened with the whole lot has blood on their hands from the owners to the fans we all knew in 98 when Louis Gonzals hit 58! jacks that year why is it nobody was talking about it then! Why is it nobody cared about roids in baseball til ESPN made a story abou it? Also Bonds has failed less tests than Palmerio, so lets make sure our glass houses are clean before we start throwing stones at someone when all of MLB supported his takin of them during the time he was taking them.

1). Go back to the 1st grade and learn how to spell, ok.

He is an amazing hitter, 3000 hits and the legendary 500 homerun 500 stolen bases combo without steroids. He is no doubt on steroids.

I'm convinced he used steroids, but he was a great hitter well before that time. He dominated since his days with the Pirates, which were more than 10 years before he allegedly starting using performance-enhancing drugs.

He's a great player, and it's too bad he's now tarnished his legacy. But, he was Cooperstown-bound before all this other stuff began.

He is already a great hitter but he is obviously using steroids. I think without the steroids, he would just be shooting for 700 home runs right now.

droopydog, I can't stop laughing at your post!

Steroids can't hit the ball for you and Bonds was a Hall-of-Famer before his feet grew three sizes and his head exploded. Conclusion: a little bit of both.

Umm duh he took steroids... but the thing is you still have to be able to hit the ball i mean steroids dont magically put the ball over the fence. You still have to hit the ball square and so perfect that it even has a chance to go out. I think without steroids bonds would have still beaten the Babes record.

He uses steroids but he will never get in trouble. Oh well what can you do. That is the way the world is.
