Yeah, me and some friends have band pratice in a building next to a canal so we skip stones all the time...and if we run out of stones we skip pennies...and if we run out of pennies we attempt to skip car parts but that doesnt usually work =/

Yes, and I look for good rocks everywhere, too. I have a great rock in my bag right now that I plan to take to the lake asap.

Yeah always I'm 27yr old woman and i think I've only managed to do it about twice and i grew up close to a river and a lake , rubbish huh .

yes, but i spend longer looking for perfect flat stones for more bounces. i have arthritis so a few throws are all i can manage, so they have to be good stones. i can't wait to teach my grandchildren how to do it
