Teenagers are a hard group of people to teach, especially when you're trying to go by a certain curriculum. They have to answer to their bosses, and so if the students aren't taking school seriously and trying to learn instead of just socialize, their jobs would be a lot easier, and I'm sure they would be a bit more lenient as well. But honestly, in schools, its you get what you give.
