is there a point?

Does your day feel alot better after you have mentally decided that he is an ******?

Why all the talk of him, when he was "clearly" voted in twice?

please explain, thanks

Note: I am not a prisoner of the two-party political system but an Independent and not wanting to bash any side today.

Just because he is in office doesn not mean everything he wants done has to be rubber stamped by congress.

Vocal opposition to the president can prevent his worst ideas (and they are many) from being put into law. Right after his election, Bush announced his number one priority was to privatize social security. Widespread opposition to this idea from people pointing out the obvious flaws and lies in the plan killed it.

Democracy does not stop at the voting booth.

I am also an Independent (not - reform party) and agree with what you stated; why, when he was clearly voted in twice. I have never disrespected any American President no matter what party. As we all know, being the president is simply a temporary job that can be taken away from you in four years...Just ask Jimmy Carter or Herbert Walker Bush. To be disrespectful only lends itself to; expecting that "disrespect" to come back at you.

Both the major parties reap what they sew, someday though, they will get a major surprise when an alternative party walks in and makes a majority. Only then will the American people be involved in the political system the way they were intended to be.

Well he was anything but clearly voted in the 1st time. 2nd time people were too busy running around like hampsters looking for a 100% failsafe security blanket to vote reasonably.

Anyway it comes down to me 1) feeling better by venting my feelings 2) feeling good and proud that I live in USA where I can say the President is a dingus and 3) Feeling good about the fact that I have said it verbally and publically that our President is an un-American moron who should be locked in a looney bin instead of given free reign in the Oval Office.

I don't threaten him or wish him harm...i just wish he would step down b4 he destroys the very last vestiges of a Free America

Clinton grow to be only as bashed as Bush. only with the aid of actuality Ted Kennedy says something would not inevitably make it so. Kenneth sought after guy or woman hounded bill Clinton with chronic activity. He grow to be like a gnat; if he wasn't in Clinton's face, he grow to be in his a**. And as a count variety of actuality, I nonetheless see Clinton bashing on Y/A on a on an everyday foundation commencing place. Republicans look waiting to dish it out, yet not take it. take care of it! as low with the aid of actuality the Bush approval score is, it won't be able to be all Democrats who're not extremely joyful together with his ordinary overall performance. And not something could desire to be worse than the "Holy Hell" we've continued with the Bush administration, so positioned across it on.

Okay, I know President Bush doesn't listen to the American people. Maybe that's why only about 20% of the American people believes anything he says.

He may not listen but others do.

I would feel alot better if that percentage would go down to 5%.

Just because someone was voted in twice does not make them a good public servant. Nixon was voted in twice. It could be that most people are idiots, and after reading your post I am more sure of it than ever.
OK I can explain why people bash those they do not agree with, it's called freedom of speech~

Nobody mentally decided that Bush was an ********. He is an ********. But bold and broad-minded independents like you are too above it all to grasp the details. So I won't bother to explain. Go have a nap.

I imagine the same sense of accomplishment the conservatives felt when they bashed Bill Clinton to no end.

I get no sense of accomplishment. When I hear his name it makes me sick to my stomach. I may mumble something under my breath but I don't bash him. Nope, no point... just how I feel. And, yes, I voted- but not for him...
