Ok, so basically i know that me n my gf have been sexually active, we had unprotected sex a few times last month...she hasnt had her period yet and it was due the 15th i think...within the last month shes had sore/sensative boobs, nausea, she even complained about stuff smelling strong when i didnt even smell it at all... shes gained a little bit of weight and said she has been having alot of cravings and just eats, although lately not so much of all of this stuff...just in general has been goin on in the last few weeks...and so she grabbed two 'first response' tests last week and took one a couple days before her period should have came and it was negative and then 2 days after it should have came and it was negative...she took them in the morning (fmu) and both came out negative?! i just dont know whats going on, were not ready for a baby and im going crazy...

also i feel really really stupid about this too, so please no ignorant comments...but i dont know if it even matters or if we should get like the day after pill or watever but yesterday we had unprotected sex due to heat of the moment, we didnt see each other for a week and hadnt had sex and idk it just happend, and this time i didnt pull out and came and kept going, she was on top and was really really wet, but anyways, im scared shitless because i know we have been stupid and were not ready for a baby...1)im scared cuz of the symtoms shes had, even with the negative tests, and 2) because of what happend yesterday...
...last week she had blood work done because shes trying to get on birth control, and after she got the blood work done was when the nausea and sensative smell happend, its subsided since though, could this have something to do with it or no?? also, could she be having a miscarriage or do you think shes even pregnant? im just a nervous wreck and need advice, please help

First of all pregnancy symptoms can often mimic premenstrual symptoms, and many times if a woman is paranoid that she might have gotten pregnant she will just be more aware of the symptoms.
But it is possible she is pregnant and the tests just aren't picking up the hormone. Wait a few more days, have her take another test and make sure she uses first morning urine, when the pregnancy hormone would be at it's highest concentration.
If she keeps testing negative and doesn't get her period within another week or two, then she should go have a blood test and see her doctor.

What did the blood work she had done say. If they agreed to put her on birth control then she isn't pregnant. The blood test is a lot more reliable then the home pregnancy tests. She is having lots of pregnancy symptoms but they are also PMS symptoms too. She should probably not get the day after pill for the sex yesterday. For one if she is already on birth control its not safe to use more than one type of birth control at a time. For two if they doctor would not put her on birth control then she probably is pregnant & taking the day after pill can cause problems for her & the baby.

maybe your gf was stressed.it can affect many things in our lives, including her periods.sometimes women we're so stressed out that their body produces hormones that halt their bleeding.working with herr doctor or midwife can help her figure out what she needs to do to relax and get back on schedule.a sudden, short illness or even a longer illness can cause her periods to be delayed.
changing schedules can really throw off her body clock.this is particularly true if she go from days to nights at work or vice versa.perhaps she's trying a new medication and a delayed or absent period is the cause.be sure to talk to her doctor or midwife about this side effect.it is very common with some methods of birth control.carrying around too much weight can hormonally shift her cycles and even stop them.most women will see a return to normal cycles and fertility with the loss of some weight.if she do not have enough body fat she will not have regular periods, sometimes she can eve cause your periods to stop all together.this is called amenorrhea. typically a weight gain will help her have your periods return. This is a frequent cause of a missed period in women who work out to an extreme or are professional athletes.
the menstrual cycle varies from woman to woman. While we say that the average menstrual cycle is 28 days long, that is not true for everyone.sometimes our period is believed to be late when in all actuality we have simply miss calculated.if she have irregular menstrual cycles, but know when she ovulate, look for her period about two weeks after she ovulate. That may help you keep an easier track of her periods

Ok, she maybe prego. In the beginning it feels like PMS but with a harder impact, so she could well be. It also may be too early for the home tests to detect the hormone that they need to give you a positive result. I would just go for a doctor or a center that can help you with low cost exams. I believe there maybe a planned parenthood or something similar close to you. Good luck!

Negative responses can be wrong, as a pregnancy test determines the presence of a hormone that can only be present during pregnancy. It is entirely possible that she isn't far enough along to make it perceive the hormone. HOWEVER, if you get a positive at any time, it is NOT wrong.
She may be having hormone issues igf she is not pregnant. She should see a dr either way.
However, as the saying goes, you made your bed, now it looks like you're gonna have to lie in it..... sounds like she IS pg.
Good luck!

Go to a Planned Parenthood Clinic. They will give you a free & accurate pregnancy test.
Sometimes menstruations are late. What you've described are also symptoms of PMS, so don't panic just yet!
Since you two are sexually active, she should start seeing a gynecologist that she trusts, who would be able to answer these sorts of questions for you.

The only FOR SURE way is to wait a couple of days, and go to the doctor and get a blood test done.

She should take another test in a few days. If it comes back negative and she still hasn't had her period, she should go to the doctor and have a blood test done!!
Good Luck

Retest in a couple of days. If she is pregnant then it may be too early to show up. I use to get early pregnancy symptoms before my period was coming.

the best thing to do is go to the Dr. and if she is younger then go to planned parenthood. at home test don't work for every one. i took 4 that all showed negative i went to the dr. and it was possitive. my best advice is stop throwing money away get to the dr. so she knows and you can't go over every thing.
