I went to high school in Hillsborough, NJ. I know a lot of people that went to that high school that are playing in the NFL. NJ has scouts all over the place for most of the sports. You coach in school will call the scouts, mostly college scouts, but of you are good enough, the NFL scouts.

Well I hope you are a freshman in High School. If you are you will mature over the next 4 years. You will need to be about 185 + LBS minimum to play safety in the NFL. Next by the time you leave college you better run the 40 in 4.5 or less, and be able to bench 225 at least 10 times, then you might get a look a small one at that, unless you are All American in College. Less than 1888 NFL jobs every year. 32 teams X 59 (53 active roster 6 practice players)=1888. So there is a chance, but a small one at that. If you work hard and get bigger, faster, and stronger you never know. Good Luck.

Freshman at HIGH school? If so, then no, you won't get drafted. You need to go to college and play. College? Then you might, but only if you are very good. You will have to put on a LOT of weight, though. You ain't getting into the NFL at 137 pounds. You'd get killed. Safeties tend to be taller, too, but it is possible to overcome that if you're good enough. In any case, forget your quarterback. It all basically comes down to this: how good are YOU?

Not yet. The good news is that you have 4 years to work on this. Just remember that the vast majority of people never make it to college, and only a small percentage of those who do actually make it to the league. You'll obviously have to put on weight in high school. Work on your speed to. Work on it like there's no tomorrow. Hit the weights. All of this will help, and so will the fact that your QB will probably get scouts. Make yourself the best on the team and they'll see you.
Have you been to RootZoo yet? Head on over, it's a brand new community just for sports fans, and you'll get some great conversations going with other football nuts. You'll also win free prizes for earning the same types of points you earn here. Check it out and set up a free screenname there, you'll love it.

I am definitely not an expert, but will offer an opinion based on average heights and weights I've seen in nfl/college players. Also I would suggest asking your coach.
First, are you in college or high school?
Your height is probably fine, there are safeties/corners at 5'8,5'9 and if you are a high intensity player and always around the ball that is a plus. But 137 is very light, which probably means you are fast, but in college and NFL I believe safeties and corners, which are among the lightests players still tend to be around 180-220 lbs.
If you are still in high school you have a lot of time to bulk up, especially if your school knows how to develop its players. If you are in college already, it could be tough to gain the kind of weight that you need, but if you love the game, you won't give up.

Ughh.....Graham Harrell is NOT A NFL QB. He runs the Spread Offense in College which will not work in the NFL. Harrell, Chase Daniel, and Colt Brennan all ran the same kind of Offense in College and all 3 of them will suck in the NFL. That stupid Spread Offense/Run N' Gun Offense doens't work against the NFL defenses.

sorry, but no. You're too thin for a safety... even though you "hit everything that comes near you." Also, I'm guessing you're on JV, since you're a freshman, and I hate to break it to ya but: varsity is NOTHING like JV. The game is faster, stronger, and more complex. At your stature, you could be a CB, but ok speed won't cut it.

You have to be a star in High School and go to a good Division I college and play football for them to even know who you are...(the NFL)...The NFL doesn't take High School players like the NBA sometimes...because High School football players are not nearly big enough to compete with NFL players...They would get killed...

Hey, If you work your *** off and try your hardest I believe you will. I am only 14 but I would like to see you in the draft later. Also, if scouts come to watch your QB and you do good, they will take notice of you.
