Why are nations still using AK-47's, depleted uranium bullets, long-range missiles, M-16's, grenage launches, bombs and so on. All of these weapons are responsible for mass destruction.

They say it is for "defense" purposes.

I like your question :)
It's not really any nation that is using AK-47's it usually groups of people that use them. AK's aren't really standard issue anymore. I haven't realy heard of the type of bullets you're speaking of but I have heard that the skin to an Abrahm's Tank is made of depleted Uranium. I'm glad you identify small weapons in the hands of a group of people as mass destruction :)

Because the whole point is for us to have them, and others to not. Thus, we have power, and they don't. Americans who come out with the whole 'we are more responsible' line need to take a long hard look at their history. No, you are not. Your probably up their with Britain for the most warmongering country in history. Especially in recent times. The military industrial complex has taken over, and will continue to be a self perpetuating force of evil. But, its probably fair to say, if we didn't have the power someone else would, and may well find a way to be even worse than we are. So in conclusion, blame the evil pricks in power.

Because we must defend against evil doers who would use those weapons on people like you. The problem is not weapons of mass destruction or any weapon at all. The problem is weapons of any sort in the wrong peoples' hands.

All that is necessary for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing.

Those aren't really considered WMDs. A WMD must be able to cause maximum damage, destruction and/or death with a relatively small amount of effort. According to your definition, cars would also fall under the WMD category.

Some nations can handle weapons, some cant. Just like people, felons can't legally own guns. These savage rogue nations need to be heavily sanctioned and controlled, lest you'd prefer a good case of anthrax.

WMD's are things like nuclear weapons, or biological or chemical weapons, not rifles and grenade launchers. It's naive to think that if we have no weapons there would be no war. Humans are war-like animals. If we had no technology at all, we'd war with our fists.

SIMPLY BECAUSE they have gone mad with lust and greed and power control. They have the attitude that nothing can hurt THEM........they are sickos who have turned their backs on God Almighty.......and there will be retribution one day when the Lord balances the books. May He have mercy on us.

We in the UA haven't dismantled ours because we need them to defend our country. Other countries aren't as responsible as our government of corporate special interests and partnerships with terrorist organizations, so they should dismantle theirs.
Long live the military industrial complex.
