I'm going to disagree a little with the masses.
-it did not take guts to sing. most of P!nk's listeners probably don't like Bush and in the entertainment industry, his name is garbage right now. She received no backlash at all.
-While it brought up some good issues, asked some good questions, and had some powerful statements, a few went overboard and made her sound self-righteous and judgemental. Like "you pave the road to hell". How can you say that about someone you don't know? Does pink have all the intelligence, information, and advise Bush gets? As the president, he knows EVERYTHING that's going on in the world that America knows. That's a heck of a lot more than pink knows. I would never vote for him if he could run again, but I don't completely loathe him bc for all I know, he could have made the best decisions based on the info at the time.
-I didn't like the tune, it sounded like she was singing country.

It'll stay on my ipod tho

1) http://quod.lib.umich.edu/k/kjv/simple.html Exod.22
[28] Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people.
Acts.23
[5] Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.
2) Sir.9
[13] Keep thee far from the man that hath power to kill; so shalt thou not doubt the fear of death: and if thou come unto him, make no fault, lest he take away thy life presently: remember that thou goest in the midst of snares, and that thou walkest upon the battlements of the city. http://quod.lib.umich.edu/cgi/k/kjv/kjv-idx?type=DIV2&byte=3941545
3) The song is not openly rebellious but the cry of a child of the USA. We need to care by wiping away the crap and appreciate who she is as she grows up, and he does.
