I have been having to many problems with medicaid. My children are very sick and have been waiting since the first of may to have surgery done. Medicaid keeps delaying the application process. Today makes 45 days exactly and now they are telling me that I submitted two aplications for medicaid and since the second one was submitted in june the may one was replaced with the june application and it will take longer to process. I did not submit another medicaid I submitted a food stamps application!. They are waiting on me to send in me and my husbands last for pay checks before they can finish processing it. That should not affect the medicaid application!. I have been waiting to long and been screwed over to much. My children are sick and the free clinic wont help me anymore because they don't believe anything i say about medicaid. They want an answer in 10 days of whether or not iv'e been approved or I have to pay every time I go. What can I do? who can I file a report to?

Call your Congressman or Senators. They have caseworkers that can help you for FREE. I was one of them when I was an intern for my Congressman in college.

All the caseworkers do is wait for consitituents to call and ask for help. Do so ASAP - don't wait. They are trained in cutting through red tape and helping people deal with things like medicaid...

If you don't know who your representatives are, click the links below for help.

Good luck to you!!

Depending on the state you live in usually you can file a grievance with the main office in your state capitol. Here is a site that lists the regional offices if you need to go over the state head on this. I am sure you will be able to find some way for them to help you. Make sure you have all of your information available when you call or if you e-mail them.

I have news for you... the goverment doesn't care about you or your children and they certainly don't want to hear from you... in case you haven't noticed... this arrogant government doesn't WANT to hear ANYTHING from the people... just look at what has happened in Louisiana, Mississippi and Florida
