Ever been in East LA? You'd swear it already is. But it really isn't the fault of those who come here looking for a better life.
The problem lies in Mexico; get their economy and government cleaned up and the immigration problem will lessen dramatically.

Hola Me Amigo. Cooma estas?
California for the Mexican population is no vacation. Did u ask this months ago b4? They are hard workers. It's tough to get around some areas unless u speak some Spanish. It's a age old problem. Gov Arnold is suppose to be on some sort of plan. We will see. The talk is the Immigration Bill is coming back to the Hill this week. Hopefully, trimmed of the pork and circumstance always attached to these things. Look at the Iraq war bills? Meanwhile the brave soldiers suffer.
Don't fear the beaches and fishing is/are far better and cheaper for vacationing inside Mexico than in the US, especially California.

Get involved every way you can. I know it seems like a losing battle...I am in California too. Contact Representative Fienstein (Congress) and Barbara Boxer (Senate) and state your views. Be sure to vote-sign ballot petitions when you agree to what the change can do if it passes. Join groups that share your views.
Meaning no disrespect to immigrants here is another way to look at it:
Living in Mexico
Every American should get a copy of the e-mail!
And it is not even a joke!!!!!!
I got this and it is soooooooo true.
If you are ready for the adventure of a lifetime, TRY THIS:
Enter Mexico illegally. Never mind immigration quotas, visas,
international law, or any of that nonsense.
Once there, demand that the local government provide free medical care for you and your entire family.
Demand bilingual nurses and doctors. Demand free bilingual local government forms, bulletins, etc. Procreate abundantly.

Deflect any criticism of this allegedly irresponsible reproductive behavior with, "It is a cultural U.S.A. thing. You would not understand, pal. "Keep your American identity strong. Fly Old Glory from your rooftop, or proudly display it in your front window or on your car bumper.
Speak only English at home and in public and insist that your children do likewise. Demand classes on American culture in the Mexican school system. Demand a local Mexican driver license.

This will afford other legal rights and will go far to legitimize your unauthorized, illegal, presence in Mexico Drive around with no liability insurance and ignore local traffic laws. Insist that local Mexican law enforcement teach English to all its officers.Good luck! You'll be demanding for the rest of time or soon be dead. Because it will never happen. It will not happen in Mexico or any other country in the world except right here in the United States, Land of the naive and stupid, idiotic politically correct politicians. If you agree, pass it on. If you don't, go ahead and try the above in Mexico or Iraq

Gee, I didn't realize it wasn't one already. It's absolutely disgusting what he has allowed in California. Impeach!! Honestly, this late in the game...nothing aside from writing your congressman immediately regarding the immigrant work program proposal that is on the floor now. Legalizing criminals is something bush has a hard on for. Call the white house comment line and express yourself also. I am so with you on how you feel but I have given up the fight...I'm moving out of California to the east by next summer. C'mon, we're all just being unreasonable haters, right? It's not like Bush got a ******** from an intern or anything....you know, the kind of sin we impeach for.

Jeff,

Please remember, the border crossed the Mexicans before they crossed the border. The US gained California from them by less than honorable means.

They were the indiginous peoples.

But really, just like with the drugs issue, the fault here is the demand. If there were not people in the US ready to give the illegals jobs...they would not be crossing.

You, myself, and all Americans need to stop blaming everyone else for the problems we ourselves create. If there was not the demand, the illegals would stop coming because they would not find the jobs.

Best Regards.
