I used to date a woman who didn't want to own a pickup as she didn't want to be considered "butch." Going back through my memory, I can't think of one woman who owned a full size pickup as her only vehicle. I'm not counting those who drive one which belongs to a husband, boyfriend, brother, father. Why don't more women drive full size pickups?

My sister has a K5 Chevy Blazer Convertible, and she looks like Julia Roberts. She bought it herself, and loves that it has a lift kit, and feels safe in it. She is straight with 4 kids and happily married. some women are probably intimidated buy a pick-up trucks size. I have another friend who is a sculptor and needs a pick-up to mover her creations around, she has a little Toyota tacoma. so i guess it just women that need a truck to haul stuff around, or want the safety of a full size truck.

Why women buy trucks:

1. They’re great for hauling stuff ---kids included.
2. They make you feel safe and powerful (you can’t deny a woman in a truck).
3. Husbands like them and they help eliminate excuses for why they can’t do home repair.
4. Trucks are fun baby!

Trucks are good for women that:

* Are homeowners.
* Have kids.
* Want to make a statement on the road.

I have known many women who have drove pick ups as their primary vehicle. I also retired from a Ford Truck plant, and we made the trucks.

A lot of these women had farms and used the trucks for the farm too. Some had horses and used the truck to pull trailers.

A variety of reasons, but they all enjoyed their trucks.

As to why more women don't drive trucks, who knows?

yes, I have known and do know women who drive full size trucks as their only or primary vehicles.

I think its great, and honestly, give me a good looking woman behind the wheel of a pickup and wow, there is nothing sexier then that.

There aren't many places you'll find women driving full-size pickup trucks. If they live on a farm or ranch, or in the mountains it's not too unusual, but you won't find very many in the city.

LOL I actually once worked with a tiny little Japanese girl who went out of her way to buy a HUGE truck. She was all about shock value that one. I loved her.

traditionally, they have not been marketed/advertised towards women. this would be a great opportunity for a major advertising company to develop a campaign / pitch for.
