You need an electrical outlet for power. Some DW's come with a plug-in and others require hardwiring. You will need a connection to the hot water supply line. You will also need a dishwasher tee to install in the sink drainline. It is not a hard job. Click on the link below for some pictures of a typical install.

Are you replacing one dishwasher with another? If you are, it is relatively easy if you have some plumbing and electrical knowledge. If you do not have the knowledge or you do not understand the installation directions that come with the new dishwasher, you should have it installed by a professional.

If there is no original dishwasher, there is a lot more work. A cabinet or two will have to be removed plus electrical wiring and a little plumbing has to be done.

I hope I helped.

Do you have the opening in the cabinet? Are you installing a freestanding unit? Need more information!!!!Level of difficulty depends on this information. If I'm already over your head, don't even try!!!

You have to have an outlet nearby to plug it in. It's best to have it's own breaker. Also, you have to tie into the drain and hook it up to the water line.

I did it in about 30 minutes. ~
Power outlets are there in all modern homes, and if you have a garbage disposal, be sure you knock out the plastic membrane in the dishwasher port.
