Phone the camp or see if they have a Website with a checklist. I just checked the site of the camp group that my husband and I attended as kids (he worked at one during college summers), but there wasn't a what to bring list on there. I used to get a registration package that included a what to bring and what not to bring list.

Even though the answer seemed to be fecetious, a Bible is a good idea. Also, a journal or two-- One for a prayer/spiritual journal for Bible studies and a "traditional" type journal. Nothing fancy, spiral notebooks would be sufficient.

Clothes that you don't care if they get permanently stained and dirty as well. Dirt seemed to find me at camp. Well, I'm 30 and dirt still seems to find me. (I was at a picnic on Saturday and I got stuff on the seat of my one pair of maternity shorts.) Also, older towels, as, again, they could get yucky.

Plenty of sunscreeen and bug spray. When I was in HS, I didn't care about sunscreen so much, but bugs also seemed to find me.

It was camp. I didn't care about looking too good, so if you bring your favorite shampoo and the like, just either put your name on it to help keep track of it, or just be relaxed about not seeing it again. I'm not talking about thefts, but just maybe forgetting it in the shower room or it getting mixed with somebody else's (i.e., she thought it was hers and packed it not realized she already packed hers).

Easily packabe games, like cards is also a good idea. I woud nix the idea of a laptop or iPod though, too risky. (I was fifteen or so when my parents allowed me to take my portable tape player/radio to camp.) Besides, the camp may not only not have wireless, but they may not allow campers to bring these things to begin with.

Anyway, I hope this helps.
