Does anybody know how to format a Compaq Harddrive? Or do you know how to format any harddrive?

If you mean format as in wipe windows and reload visit www.windowsreinstall.com for a full guide.
If you simply want to format a NON WINDOWS OS disc (ie not drive C) right click it in My Computer and select FORMAT

right click on the drive in my computer and choose format. if it is running as the c drive you will need to format it doing a reinstall of windows

the easiest way is to run the restore cd and one of the first options is to format and partition the drive. put the cd in the cdrom drive press f8 when the machine first starts to boot and select boot from cd then follow the prompts to format and repartition the drive and start over.

right click on the drive wich you want to format in that menu click format
