I notice lots of "proud of race" on the Yahoo answers.
How anyone can be proud of what they had absolutely no control over is absurd.
There is good and evil in the human family...period. Why be proud of what you don't control?
Sure a person can make sure they have kids with their own race or ethnicity, but the truth is no one is special to God because of race.
This is obvious that God doesn't see race when he blesses or curses, when he takes life or gives it, it is all the same to him.
Just like the sun favors no one, neither does God.
I imagine a black man, a Hispanic man, a Anglo-saxon man, a Native American, an Aisan and if one of them stands up, sticks out his chest and proudly says, "I'm so proud to be NOT like the rest of you!" is so absurd it is almost unbelievable.
Why is race so important to some?

I must admit that when i was first on here (before my account got deleted a couple of times) I was the same way. but now after a while, it gets really boring. so my conclusiton is that people who still talk about race on here, has nothing better to do with their lives and they need a life.

What a very well put together question. Most people don't realize what God's loving advice is on race and mankind:

Acts 10: 34 - 35 tells us:

..."God is not partial, for any man who works "Righteousness" from any nation is acceptable to Him"..

If God accepts all of his creation, ANY MAN FROM ANY NATION, and we are to immitate him, who are we to hate a human being because they are a nationality or color other than our own?

My friend, you have just made a friend in me. You are welcome to my abode any time. You are a good man; a genuine person and truly good, decent folks can see this.

Lastly, YA allows the hate to continue uninterrupted. I believe that it's going on, on the inside---that someone from the inside of the YA Staff is perpetuating this outrageous. Why else does it linger time and time again? Day after day, hour after hour, minute after minute. And since I've been on the forum, not long, but over several months of occasionally making posts, there seems to be more directed at a certain group of people, of African decendants. I've seen it all, but mostly for some reason it's geared towards them.

What do you think should happen here?

True. This is something people do on an earthly level, not really a spiritual one. The issue of race has divided us ever since time began. I look at it as a test. How we act and react towards others is important enough to hold the rank of the second commandment! I don't think there's any harm in being proud of your ancestry, unless your condescending to others because of it.

For many people on this planet I suspect that being from a certain race is all they have to be proud of especially if they haven't really done much in their lives, and that goes for more than half the human race.

yeah, there are many recorded court decisions with language like that. i've read many of them. Hispanic is not a 'race.' Hispanic means someone who comes from, or whose ancestors came from, a Spanish-speaking country. It has nothing to do with color, ethnicity, etc. Argentina is mostly Italian in descent, with many Jews, Germans, and Arabs, as well as Spanish. Puerto Rico is white and black Dominincan Republic is mostly black Mexico is mixed white and Indian The former president of Peru was Japanese (Alberto Fujimori) In some countries, like Bolivia, most people are of Indian ancestry, and many people choose to describe them as Indians and not as 'Hispanic', but in their own countries they are 'Indians' or just Bolivians, for example

Mostly because of there history they have pride.Like lets say israelians for example they have much to be proud of jesus was born there, jesus died there.Alot of holy things happened there.Ethiopia,is where mankind started garden of eden was there they were bred off from the known israelian King,King SOlomon, they have the ark of the covenant. So i can get why those two countries got pride because they have alot of religious background. But i dont know about the rest.

oh yeah and mothra, shows you how his white wife didnt like her race also she married a ***** too.

I think you make a good point...but I think race "pride" is a result of the fact that race has always been an issue for people...The groups of people who have been looked down upon and oppressed because of their skin have developed a pride, in that they love their skin and they won't let anyone tell them that they're inferior because of their color...they embrace it....the people who don't express pride for their color for the purposes of battling oppression, use it as a means to express their so-called "belief" of superiority over every other color of people...

That's an interesting point. But notice how many ****** are not quite as "proud" of their race as they claim to be. Tiger Woods was real proud of his *****-ness wasn't he? He found himself a Swede (as white as you can get) for HIS trophy white wife. I am sure he had millions of ***** women to choose from....but he wanted WHITE. Yeah, real "proud."

People only have to say how proud they are because there are others who are constantly trying to de-humanise them.
