This is what all known life has here on earth;
MOTION -- does it seem to move under its own power? Does it move
with some discernible purpose? (Toward food, away from heat, etc)
REPRODUCTION -- does it have some way of making more of itself,
either through sexual reproduction or by budding or fissioning in
some way?
CONSUMPTION -- does it eat or drink? Does it take in nutrients
in one way or another in order to survive, grow, and eventually
multiply?
GROWTH -- does the organism develop over time, increase in
complexity, until it reaches a mature stage?
STIMULUS RESPONSE -- does the organism respond to external
stimuli, i.e. has a nervous system of some sort to detect
external conditions?
Even plants have been found to move towards sun light. The computer does not.
The key board and mouse indicate stimulus response. This is generated by a human. On its own there is no stimulus response. I
It does not try to find its own food. It does not grow or reproduce.
In short, it is no more alive than viewing a motion picture in a theater.

No, because the computer has no ability to learn or act beyond what it is programmed to do. It also has no ability to reproduce or replicate itself.
While the idea that an advanced Artificial Intelligence may be sentient (basically conscious or mentally alive), we are far from reaching that point. Right now, even the most advanced artificial intelligences are far from having the capacity to understand ideas that aren't programmed into it.
Our brain does work like an extremely advanced computer, and it's not crazy to suggest that a computer could someday have all of the qualities that we consider necessary for life. It's an interesting philosophical question to consider if a sufficiently advanced computer could be considered a 'life'. Personally, I think that an advanced enough computer could be considered to be alive and shutting it off or destroying it would be tantamount to murder. Right now though, a computer that is that capable only exists in Science Fiction.
What you are asking though is if a computer will be a product of its environment or have its own personality. Right now, a computer is only what it is made to be and nothing more. It is a complex, but inanimate object.
The real question would be defining what is so special about life - animals and people - and determining what makes us alive. In the simplest terms, a person or animal is only alive in the sense that it is an incredibly complex machine made up of inanimate objects. What, beyond the incredible complexity, makes us different from being advanced machines?

Uuuuh, no. If a computer was dumped in the jungle and "raised" by animals, it would do nothing but sit there and rot. Computers don't really "think." They "compute." You program them to do what you want them to do, and they do it. If you just set one off by itself without power or programming, it won't do anything at all. Totally not a living thing. Unplug it, and it's gone.

No, malicious software isn't a living subject. it particularly is programing..... however the "programing codes" that are used to create an epidemic are demons. they're risky for the laptop. the same codes can use to create an excellent software while it particularly is used in a appropriate way. EX: cat & act ( in simple terms rearrange the alphabets) ***** the alphabets are comparable yet they're using in different purpose and expressing different meanings.

No, computers are not made of living substances, it cannot self evolve or learn anything. Basically it is a dumb machine, it can only do what it has been designed to do.

No. Life is a non-thermodynamic equilibrium process. Nothing like that takes place in a computer.

Umm....no. Left on it's own, no matter how many humans have used it, a computer will still sit there and never decide to do anything.

It can't do anything unless you tell it what to do, so no its not a living thing because it can't think on its own.
