By some estimates there are as many as 10,000 illegals coming into the U.S. every day. So if the federal and state governments can't keep them out... then it's not very likely that they're keeping terrorists out either... is it?

right.
maybe we shouldn't be so concerned that there is an illegal working at a local store with no criminal record and worry about finding the illegals who are terrorists and have terrorist links

Hey Lamp...someone called you a conservative! Illegals have been coming into this country for a couple hundred years. They do it now and it will keep happening. The amount of time, money, effort to really "secure" our borders is way more than anyone will tolerate. It will remain mostly "talk." Even one of the highest secured borders (around former east Berlin) was still penetrated by a few.

It is all a trade-off. If we want more security, we have to give up some liberty. I, for one, don't want to lose any more liberty than we already have.

All about bush bashing no matter what. I don't agree with Bush's policy on Immigration no more than any democrat. Don't forget that your congress which is controlled by democrats are just as much to blame as bush. People need to get away from playing politics with party lines and realize the problem is not always with a single person all of the time (Bush), but it is coming from both sides.

Yeah, bush has opened the flood gates to allow the illegals in.

I see it everyday in my neighborhood.

The illegals just drive up, park their over-sized monster trucks and 8 or 9 of them do nothing but drink beer and snort cocaine all day and night long, while blaring their "Los Tigres Del Norte" C.D.'s at top volume.

Of course, for some reason the L.A.P.D. looks the other way.

They say that controlling illegal aliens is the job of the feds and they have been told not to interfere.

Because of this, I'm convinced that terrorists now have training camps all over America sponsored by the lame duck & co.

We might be able to lower the number of illegal immigrants who get into the country, but we can never stop all of them. We're an open society and we're always going to be vulnerable. That's why Bush took the war to the enemy.

This problem has been going on for GENERATIONS not just during Bush's term. Why don't the wonderful liberal Congress do something about it? After all, there is a NEW Congress in town now! They're really gonna clean things up!
And, I live in Arizona. Believe me, there aren't 10,000 people coming from Mexico EVERY DAY. That would be 170,000 people so far this month?! I call this anti-American propaganda.

Haven't you heard Dubya is only pretending to be president? Cheney is the real brains of the operation. I wouldn't trust Cheney as far as I can throw the average building. So it is likely that Dubya is pretending to protect us there too.

Nope,on this one I have to agree with you. They have left our borders wide open for the benefit of Illegal Aliens, they consistently only do just enough on border security to appease those who oppose Illegal Immigration. As a result our borders are also wide open to anyone who wants to walk across the border to bomb a building instead of picking fruit or working construction.

Ohhh can't we talk about some good news, like how many schools did we build in Iraq this week. There's a good nothing about nothing topic that will make us all feel better for an hour or two.

THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING.

WHAT ABOUT ALL OF THE OTHER ILLEGALS THAT CAME IN BEFORE GEO BUSH? BLAME HIM HUH?

HAS THERE BEEN ANOTHER 9/11? NO!!!

THERE HAS BEEN CELL AFTER CELL BROKEN UP. THANKS TO GEO BUSH AND HOMELAND SECURITY.

JUST RECENTLY FORT DIX WOULD HAVE HAD A GREAT TRAGEDY AND THERE WAS SOMEONE CAUGHT TRYING TO SNEAK BOMBS IN FROM CANADA IN WASHINGTON.

IT IS YOUR DUTY AS AN AMERICAN TO REPORT THOSE 10,000 TO HOMELAND SECURITY THAT YOU SAY ARE COMING IN. WHAT ABOUT YOUR PART IN DOING YOUR DUTY AS A CITIZEN OF THE USA? WHAT ARE YOU DOING BESIDES ARMCHAIR QUARTERBACKING?

WHAT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILTY TO YOUR FAMILY AND NEIGHBORS TO HELP KEEP US SAFE? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE, I ASK YOU.

TALK IS CHEAP. GET UP OFF YOUR DONKEY AND HELP OUR COUNTRY. DO YOUR PART AND QUIT EXPECTING GEO. BUSH TO DO SOMETHING THAT YOU SHOULD BE DOING.
