If you've never sewed before, i dont think i'd start by giving your endeavor as a gift! Why dont you make one of those flanel knotted blankets? Requires no sewing, just a pair of scissors and about an hour of your time. Good luck!

Personalized and handmade gifts are always special. I say go for it. I'm not sure if you are saying that you have never made a blanket before, or if you are just saying you have never personalized one before. Either way, it's pretty simple. Buy some fleece and sew a binding on the edges, and then embroider the baby's name and date, or a little message, whatever you want to do. Good luck! It will be cherished, I'm sure!

The easiest way would be to purchase a ready made blanket, and have it personalized by a professional. There are businesses that can add the childs name, weight, and date of birth for a very low cost and in a short period of time. These type of businesses do embroidery on shirts, hats, etc. I live in a small town and we have at least two of these businesses here.

You can buy some nice iron-on patches or letters and iron them onto the silky border of the blanket. Make sure you test the fabric before ironing, and wash it once to make sure they will stay on. I don't think you can learn to sew well enough in one week to do any personalization.

purely to be on the secure element i does no longer use it. If it quite is a few thing very advantageous or she does not desire to harm the guy who gave it to her she would be in a position to apply it as ornament. I even have considered people use quilts and blanket to hold on the wall to function to the toddler room decor.

Personalizing it would be nice. Try embroidering the name.
