I used to have lots of answers for my questions. I know, I should be grateful, and it's not like my questions are great either, but still... I want to know why?
Thank you!

Dear Ken Lys :
I believe this is the first time I ever answer a question of Yours... Many times People in Y!A are not quite willing to make a substantial comment but are simply hunting down the Two Points for the answer, and they forget about the 10 points for the best answer...
Many times people are looking up for a question similar to the one they would like to ask,yet if they don't find anything similar they may make a very brief answer...
Disinterest is the main cause on both cases, I believe.
I have Not read Your other questions, but I guess You should pick Your forums more carefully, probably searching for a teenage oriented forum may help You better... I'm just guessing You're a teenager for the avatar You've chosen... Other people (older people) will hardly be interested on the same subjects teenage users may be.

Good luck! Bear hugs! ;-)

Depends on what you're asking!

I think a lot of the people that answer are tired of doing others' homework. Be broad in your main question then give all the details you can in the sub question. And give some thought to what you're asking too! Personally I'm more compelled to answer a question if it seems like the asker has given some thought to how to solve it before asking. I find grammar and punctuation makes a difference as well as to whether I answer a question. It shows you care about getting an intelligent answer!

Your questions seem better than a lot I've seen. Maybe you've just been unlucky lately. Keep trying :)

Maybe the time and day that you are asking the questions is the problem.
Monday through Friday during regular business hours here in the USA is when I get the most answers to my questions!
Go figure!

People are asking so many questions lately that they don't stay up very long, so unless your question is a winner.. you won't get
many answers..

If you notice the majority of answers come in the first 10 minutes
of asking a question.

I think that there are more questions in the morning than there are in the evenings, and more people answering later in the day. I don't get many answers when I post questions around this time. I think they get lost in the pile. Obviously, it is morning where I am...very morning.

It all comes down to the way you structure question headings to grab the eye of the answerer like you have with this one, that;s all and the question is not non sensical ...♥

i think that if you ask a question that has an answer then if someone is to answer it correct there is not a huge point in anyone else answering it..

try asking more open ended questions maybe?

It's pretty hit and miss. Wait an hour or so until the kids are up, then ask, who likes ice cream?

Then sit back and watch it light up.

Some people like "outstanding" questions, ones that stand out and ask something that hits them.
