Liberal bias, by the press, has been firmly entrenched for years. Viewers have been fed this news slant for so long that many accept it without question. When a less liberal slant is presented it is seen with suspicion.
I would like you to give specific factual instances where Fox News stories are fake. When, and how, has Fox News misinformed viewers intentionally?

You are being very silly. The other networks are and were Left wing. Fox just provides another take on things. That is good for everyone.

As you - no doubt - know - it is part of Rupert Murdoch's News Group, which has also included the Village Voice, and Fox was set up with Roger Ailes as CEO.

As Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. explained we need that free market in ideas. Do not be so upset about this.

can you cite any examples?

odds are Fox news simply disagrees with your personal philosophy so you perceive it to be "Fake".

what misinformation have they presented? has it been presented on any other news organization?

how often does it happen?

I watch news rather religiously (several different news sources) and I will admit Fox has a tendency to over sensationalize some news it is no better or worse on its slanting of the news than any other broadcaster (Well NBC seem pretty heavy handed with a liberal slant lately).

Try approaching the news from a neutral stand point and use multiple sources you ill find the news is usually some where in between what they show.

Remain civil? You accuse people of blatantly lying, and you have the temerity to tell us to remain civil?

I dislike Fox news, and yes their media leans toward the neo-con policy positions (we can argue later about whether that's truly left or right), but that doesn't mean they falsify news stories. There's no evidence of that at all. In fact, it's the leftist media (CBS, etal.) that have been caught falsifying anti-Bush stories. You people on the left have a very biased sense of reality.

Before Fox, the news media was more biased and more monolithic than it is now. Whatever else I think of them, at least they provide variety.

I hope people are intelligent enough to read this and actually listen instead of just putting thumbs down because it's not what they want to here, I will remain civil if people have an open intelligent mind.

it's funny that people never complain about CBS & ABC. Or the worst yet is PBS which is funded by the public, but they are very one sided, and hardly are acting in the public interest, try to find one show on PBS show were they aren't against the president or giving a negative view of the war. That is called agenda setting and propaganda, it's sad people are so against unfair media except when the media is telling them what they want to hear, on both sides. PBS also also uses their kids programming which is excellent, most of us grew up with Sesame Street. When PBS is threatened to lose funding for not acting in the public interest then they claim they will get rid of their children's programming instead of the shows that are causing them to lose the funding. They really put the BS in PBS.

CBS had a book even written about behind the scenes of the station and the liberally biased news in that station, the guy was a Democrat who wrote it, and he worked for CBS for 27 years. There are some other books too.

Watch ABC news if it's something positive about the war they will add some negative comment. They were negative about Reagan it Reagan's funeral. If there is something about a Dem on there, they spin it to make him look good. Deny it all you want it's right there on the screen.

Cnn is negative about the President and the war all the time too, I was watching C-Span, and they had these comedians some were liberal and some were conservative, one of the liberal comedians worked for CNN, what does that tell you. Alot of these guys write liberal books so how are they supposed to be taken seriously as fair journalists?

Just look at Iraq, has the news told you anything positive like people are going to school now that couldn't, they can go to a movie theatre and watch whatever they want now that they have the freedom to do so. NOPE they never mention they have only given a negative image of America, which the people have bought, and so have other countries. It's hard to get people to back you when you're own media seems to not even be on your side.

look at CBS 60 minutes has become a tabloid show, they even have been known for editing to make it sound how they want it to, This was a long time ago. Look at Dan Rather reported some negative information about President Bush that wasn't true and it was found out, sure he got caught once but how many times did they probably do that?

You need to look objectively at both sides not just Fox, who is conservative true, but they also have alot of Democrat guest, and usually let them get the last word too. I'm not saying Fox isn't biased, I'm just saying not as biased as ABC or CBS, or worse yet PBS. Don't call one biased and then ignore the bias of other stations because they are telling you what you want to hear, so it would be very hypocritical to say one network is biased and ignore the bias of another.

I personally like to watch C-Span, I never thought I would say that 10 years ago, but I do. You can watch the people vote in congress & the house, and you can see the truth for yourself. There is no bias either way. I disagree about NBC, I think they are usually in the middle, maybe it's because of how liberal CBS & ABC are. I think people should remember this is America, so even though you have only heard one point of view for so long, don't say another point of view is fake, just because it's different it's a different view is all.

I also would like to say I'm not for biased on either side but I would rather watch a station that is for backing their country in hard times like Fox rather than those who make their own country look like the bad guy, like ABC, CNN. CBS, & PBS.

Watching FOX news only gets to you because you can't stand seeing a logical news perspective on events. You also can't stand a news outlet that is willing to ask questions to politicians (liberal and conservative alike) that actually make them answer for things politicians like to shove under the rug. It just so happens that the liberal politicians come away looking worse since their agenda is generally power oriented and not to the benefit of this country. Sometimes the facts just hurt, but that does not mean that FOX new is fake. I think you just can't handle the truth when it doesn't agree with your opinion.

Just because you don't like what they are saying doesn't make it fake.

Fox tells a different point of view than the others.

Liberal view is not the prefect view nor is conservative view.

Each network gives you the sound bites you want to hear.

If you are serious about the truth you have to listen to more than one type of source and spend some time studying what is going on in the world.

So tell me about CBS manufacturing evidence to make a story. Newsweek making up story about teh Qran being flushed.

I suggest if you want the truth you have to be ready to hear information that will make you uncomfortable and find out that you maybe wrong.

Interesting that you request people remain civil in response to a question that is simply meant to aggitate thereby requesting more of the respondents than you could manage yourself.
So here's to the pot calling the kettle black.

Don't mistake their opinion shows (Hannity & Colmes, O'Reilly, etc.) for news shows. Plus, it sounds like you're making the mistake of labeling as fake something you just don't agree with. If you don't like Fox News, change the channel to CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS or one of the smaller alphabets.

Four syllable answer - Rupert Murdock (aka The Dirty Digger).

Please bear in mind -
Rupe has a long and profitable trading history with China, how many News International Corporation publications or other media interests are critical of China ?

Rupe took over The Sun newspaper and managed to lower the standard of gutter journalism in the UK.

Although his publications tend to pander towards unthinking patriotism in whichever country they reside, this is the man who became an American because he wasn't allowed to own US media as a foreigner.

Come on, Rupe, how about the Sun demanding the same laws in the UK - only UK citizens to own British media ?
