Sixth Sense or The Passion of The Christ.

I would rather commit hari-kari with a rusty sword than ever have to sit through the chick flick "Steel Magnolias" ever again.

The Prestige or Knocked Up.

The Prestige is a great movie that is difficult to categorize because it's such a fresh style. It's very smart and has an incredible ending. I highly recommend it.

Knocked Up is a more recent movie that is very funny. Both guys and girls that i know that have seen it have enjoyed it very much.

I would say Goodfellas. Can't beat a good mob movie. (personally I like all movies. But Guy movies are my favorite.) Then also I love summer popcorn movies where things get blown up like: Pirates, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, etc.
