4.1 - The multiplicative inverse of a number is the reciprocal of that number of in other words, the number by which the original number is multiplied would yield the result of 1. For example, the reciprocal of 8 is 1/8 and when 8 is multiplied by 1/8 it will yield the result of +1. When -2/3 is multiplied by 3/2 it will yield the result of -1 which is not compliant to the rule of multiplicative inverse in which the result must be +1. So the correct answer will be -3/2.

4.2 - True because 0 divided by any number yields 0.

4.3 - True - That is the commutative rule in mathematics.

4.4. False - A negative number divided by another negative number will yield a positive result. For example, -2 divided by -2 will result in +1.

4.5 - False - a/x is never equal to x/a unless both x and a are 1. In your equation, 12/4 yields 3 while 4/12 yields 1/3 or 0.333 which proves not true.

4.6 - False - The right side of the equation will result in -2 while the left side results in a positive value. Without any need to solve the equation, you will be able to say that it is False.

4.7 - False. As a rule:

a / (b/x) = (a/1) / (b/x) = (x*a)/(b*1)

You can see the farthest values will be multiplied and then put in the numerator and the closes values will be multiplied and put as the denominator. So in your case:

12/ (-1/2) = (12/1) / (-1/2) = - ( (12*2) / (1*1) ) = - 24/1 = -24

And -24 is not equal to -6

Good luck.
