You mean the European Monetary Union. The UK is in the EU. The simplest answer is the public are opposed to it, but they are right.
Why? Because where is there is one currency over a great area, marginal economic activities are adversely affected because regulations make wages and other costs sticky or just plain higher than they would be by reference to the demand for the currency to transact for goods that are more in demand from that area.

You really should do some basic research before posting questions otherwise you look so stupid!
The U.K. is in the E.U, it has been for years, it just dosent use the Euro, which is not mandatory.
How can Tony Blair become the head of the E.U. his term of office as British Prme-minister is finished, but there is no postion for any one polotician to be head of the E.U. (he dosent even hold a seat on the European Parliament) the Head of the E.U. is a rotating postion held by each country in turn for 6 months.

UK joined the Euopean union in 1973.
They have not adopted the euro yet (will they ever adopt it?)
UK started its six-month Presidency of the Council of Ministers of the European Union mid 2005... which doesn't make Blair head of the eu by the way....

becoz Uk has a powerful economy, n its currency is also powerful than euro, UK can stand well in world with out being part of EU

because UK owns everything anyway, they don't need to join anything.
You should checkout the Holdings the Royals have. they own 95% of the world, including USA, which is mostly foreign and UN and Government owned.
UK never lost power, just wants people to think it so they will keep allowing the Royals to be Royals.
