When politicians try to take tax money from you to fight global warming, resist with all your ability.

Yes. But I stick to my guns because I have history and evidence on my side.

I can show that weather patterns have changed dramatically since the beginning of time. Climate is not static.

Around the 8th century the weather became cold (it started the "Dark ages" during the 11th century the climate went up as much as 4 - 7 degrees, historical evidences shows a sudden ability to grow warm weather crops in places that have been historically cold. around the 14th century the temperature dropped about 4 degrees, suddenly the places that could grow crops could not, there was mass famine and death. today we are about 4 degrees warmer than we were 200 years ago.

all this can be proven in archaeological and historical records.

and if you look at the time frame it falls outside the "Industrial revolution"

Ironically the blame for the sudden climate change in the 13th century was witches, people were hounded and persecuted by the church for altering the weather. sound familiar?

Arizona (where I live) was once a swamp.

North Africa (now a desert) was the Breadbasket of the medateranian durringthe time of the Romans.

The british were able to grow grapes, a crop that needs warmth, around the 1300's.

I think because Humans are such short lived creatures we become accustomed to one type of climate not realizing what we see as today's weather was not how it was 200, 300 or 3000 years ago.

So what do I do when some one attacks me for my view on climate change? I simply state the facts and walk away.

I hear you brother. Everyone about me seems to be loosing their heads about this. Since when do we put so much credence in the "opinions" of scientists? An opinion is simply that an opinion no matter who it is coming from.

What are seriously lacking are facts.

Yet, to the secular religion of environmentalism (emphasis on the mental part), catastrophic climate change is the latest dogma. To question it is to blaspheme.

I guess anyone who does not just accept the canon of the church of environmentalism is an environmental infidel.

What a tremendous ego we humans have, we can affect this planet by breathing, cars and a multitude of other things, it really is amazing. The one thing that is forgotten by most people (including "scientists") is the world has been doing this for how ever long it has been in existence Scientific theory is just, one mans (or woman's ) theory and nothing more and can and should therefore be debated'

One can attempt to think as objectively as possible on the subject.
For me personally the issue is no longer global warming or its cause; it's the fact that it has been so ridiculously politicized.
I will NOT vote for any candidate that is milking this for all its worth, all for political gain. It's a joke, and too many are totally buying into it.
Anyone of us can certainly do our part if we choose to "save" the planet...but there are also always going to be those that are throwing their trash out of the window, not recycling, driving SUVs, using too much toilet paper. Whatever. This issue has become so heated (so to speak)...to what end?!?!

Your problem is that you are attacking the means by which a whole lot of people commencing with some loser scientists are going to screw everybody with really expensive snake oil schemes.

The temperature on Mars has gone up a little bit more than that on Earth over the last 60 years, so I guess it is sunspot activity, etc. It is not us.

The parents of these crooks used to tell us we were going to have a new ice age and run out of gasoline by the year 2000.

The fact there is global warming is agreed upon by EVERYONE, they just don't agree on what is causing it.

I live in Canada; the winters don't get cold anymore, and insects (like the pine beetle) survive winters and infest the forests. There aren't 4 distinct seasons anymore. No one here doubts global warming.

Move to the mountains where you won't be inundated by the floods (the oceans are going to rise) and where it will be cooler. And just keep telling yourself, it's not my fault, global warming has nothing to do with greehouse gas.

Right.

Climate change and its human origins are established scientific fact. The people who continue to claim otherwise are not "debating" in a reasonable way--and the deserve all teh ridicule they get.

you cannot worry about the things you have no control over..

if you should choose to educate yourself on any issue..you
stand taller than those who routinely do not..

.if you have I hope you share your findings...whether it is something popular or unpopular..
