I think that zero is not considered to be even or odd.
Some people consider it as an even one, for the reason the first answerer explained..

Any number divisible by two is even. You can divide
2 evenly into zero. So zero is an even number.
*****edit********
tzanak might be confusing this with the fact that zero is neither positive or negative which is true.
PeterVincent is right that zero is not always classed as a natural number, however that doesn't affect 0's status as
an even number. Zero is always a number and is recognized as part of the reals.
All whole numbers are either even or odd
Zero is an even number.

The usual definition of an even number is: divide it by 2, if the remainder is non zero it is odd if the remainder is zero it is even. So zero is even.
You need to note that zero is not always classed as a number. The definition of the natural numbers (counting numbers) varies and does not always include 0.

Yes zero is seemed to be a even number. It works like this;
You count the zero as a even, you count the two as a even. It's like a number pattern. It goes by one's. That's how you figure out a even number :)

zero is not a real number....
it is a place holder and a "number" to represet a nil value!
so technically no it is not even.
but like many things, it can be proven to be even to make up your own mind!
