Implemented - to put something in play or into use...

Examples: The pitcher just implemented the curve ball throw.

Dad implemented a "no talk rule" for the long drive to the cottage.

The company implemented new software.

"Implemented" can also mean "put into action," like a plan, for example. Let's say you spend a certain amount of time planning a charitable event. When the time comes, you implement it (the plan, that is) and the event takes place.

The other definitions are fine, but whenever you're looking for the definition of a word, if you go to google and enter "define" and then your word, the first link in the results will be "Web definitions for" your word. This will get you definitions from a whole mess of websites.

This is particularly good when there are different kinds of definitions for your word--like "character" can mean your personality, or it can mean a symbol, or a couple of other things. You'll get math definitions from a math dictionary web site, normal definitions from a conventional dictionary, etc. Cool stuff.
