You truly should have added details IE: How far. How Much, etc.

Obviously the answers so far are valid but might not be at all what you're asking.

Certainly the other part of your Q would be a moot point if you're talking about the load dumped in your drive that you need in the back yard. That could be as easy as a party, some shovels, and wheelbarrows.

If it means going to a YARD where sand is sold, then you might consider cleaning out the trunk of your car, getting a decent blue tarp, and fill the trunk with sand to be shoveled out at a job site.

If you have an SUV or pickup, use 32 gallon trash cans and fill them to be dumped, etc. at a job site.

If you need heavy equipment to do it, I just rented a 'bobcat', front end skid loader for a 2 hr. minimum of $30/hr.
It was worth it.
Almost any town large enough to be anything has a rental store that has bobcat skid loaders.

You can get a dirt contractor, or a contractor that has the equipment, to come in a move, or remove your sand.
Maybe $60 an hour. Probably two hour minimum.

2 10 quart buckets, and a comfortable pair of shoes. Carry a bucket in each hand. After several hrs you may wish to only fill the buckets part way full.

If you don't want to use the manual labor option then some rental yards offer a small, personal front end loader that will do the job. Toro makes one called "Dingo".
