You are forgetting the point about how "pottery can absorb sound like a phonograph".
A cable show tested that theory making a clay pot and using a reed as a stylus and found out that it did work, but they had to scream at the top of her lungs just to get any kind of sound. They used an actual record player stylus to retreat the sound--which was indiscernible.
It was not capable of hearing a person clearly.

i doubt it, however the principle has been used before - in the x-files -
i can't remember all the details but basically someone had been 'throwing' (making) a piece of pottery near to where christ was speaking and his words were somehow 'recorded' into the pot itself -
this in itself is based on one of the supposed holy relics that actually exist - others being the spear that pierced christs side (spear of longinus??), the piece of material that covered christs face in the tomb supposedly holding an image of his face etc.,
so probably not based in provable fact, but based on a fairly well known myth.

I have seen pottery wheels as old as 1000 years played with a stylus (needle) and it seems you can hear the peop frommthe room recordrd on the wheel like a vinyl record, but you kinda gotta wanr to hear it real bad.
Ijust heard scratching Sorry, novel theory, like jesus on a pancake.

I think I saw that one and I thought it was a bit too far fetched, I think they elaborate a bit too much, but the Americans will believe anything.

No. Dramatic license in America is pretty wide, because Americans will believe anything if it rates well on TV.

I didn't see that one but I'm confused! Sounds highly far-fetched to me!

Perhaps not as you describe but yes, certain materials do harbour past aural resonance.
