The problem is largely that America no longer treats wars as wars. If we thought Iraq was a serious security threat, we should have gone in, removed the threat, and LEFT!

We do not owe it to anyone to build up their country. That's just insanity. The people were lighting their homes with oil lamps and fetching water from wells by hand before we showed up. Why the hell should we be paying to build them power plants and water distribution systems?

America is FULL of idiots.

The war in Iraq needs to be won. When we first entered Iraq our priorities for winning the war were much different than they are today. No matter what anyone says Saddam was a threat to America, & he aided and sponsored terrorism. Today if we lose the war, Iraq will be a breeding ground for islamic extremists from all over the world and our Country's saftey will never have been at risk more

We went to Iraq for a few reasons although one was really made public.
We went not only in search of WMD's, but also to break up terrorist training camps there, as well to oust a man who was commiting acts of geonicide.
So yes I was all for it, the problem now is that it's not a war anymore it's a political and media battle. If we were to remove the media coverage and the political b.s. we could finish this up in less than a month.
We are commited now, if we pull out with things the way they are, we might as well leave a sign saying terrorists sign up here. It would be the biggest recruitment of new extremists that you could ever think of. We would be showing that we do not have the resolve to finish what was started and they will thrive off that and be able to recruit thousands.
Either way you see it, for or against, you need to show your support for the troops and the war otherwise your weakening our military by making some troops second guess themselves, and it only takes one to second guess himself to kill a large group of soldiers.

It was never a war. It was Bush's personal vendetta against Saddam, not about helping Iraq or finding Bin Laden (it would have helped to look for Bin Laden in the right country for starters). We need money and troops here at home before America becomes a third world nation too.

I agree there is a war in Iraq. I think the US should get out of it.

We should have let the "bear out of the cage", let the military do their job, without civilian intervention (handcuffs).
