In short, the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle became a mystery by a kind of communal reinforcement among uncritical authors and a willing mass media to uncritically pass on the speculation that something mysterious is going on in the Atlantic

It is a freak of nature, I don't think it has a purpose, but I would think the main purpose for the burmuda triangle in your case would be to baffle your mind.

its main purpose is to sell books and magazines........there is no "mysterious force" in that part of the Atlantic that sinks ships and planes....when you consider all the airplanes flying from the East Coast to the Caribbean; all the ships traveling from Japan and China to Europe or the East Coast via the Panama Canal; all the oil imported from the Mid East goes through there..that's tens of thousands of ships and planes a year.
yes, planes and ships go missing there,,,,,but in no greater numbers than anywhere else in the world.
I've sailed small ( under 50 foot) yachts through the Triangle a dozen times over the years and know many other sailors who have too....sorry to disillusion you but there's nothing spooky there.

There is no purpose related to it. But by nature it will attract all the object to its trench if the object passes near to it
