No, I vote my conscience not Oprah or anyone else. Sadly there are people out there who will based on the endorsement and not the issues that really matter to them.

Using Oprah as an example, it could hinder her career. She can be perceived as backing Obama because he's black, thus creating a race issue. Women may feel Oprah should back Hillary because she's a woman thus creating a gender issue. I vote for the person I think will best serve our country.

First I would not vote for any candidate no matter who endorses them entertainer, politician, friend, etc. I only vote based on the facts as I know them and after doing due diligence in understanding the candidate.

And no I don't believe it hinders the entertainer unless they let their political beliefs take over. Mostly I feel that it helps because they speak and the media covers it. This increases the entertainers name recognition.

Most don't know what an election is about. Proof is that we constantly get tyrants in office. Therefore, entertainers that are well liked, usually influence the vote when they blast their opinions publicly. Oprah is well liked, however, Spielberg blew it when he started filming about the holocaust.

No. Hinders entertainer's career, but Oprah is already made.

No, it wouldn't have a bearing on my vote because my needs and wants are not the same as someone who makes 100 million dollars a year. I will support the candidate who best espouses views contrary to this administration, relating to this war, and how we feed and clothe our most needy, how we provide medical care for the elderly, how we handle illegal immigration, and who can best unify all the vast divisions and rifts in this nation as a result.

It relies upon on who's a "movie star" & in what container. i think of i might pay interest if somebody I respected made an endorsement, yet once you're speaking approximately Paris Hilton movie star, no.

no. i hate performers getting involved with politics, unless they actually know what they're talking about. for example, jesse ventura was perhaps the worst governor in the history of minnesota. he did next to nothing. but, he is also the most popular governor in all of minnesota's history. same goes for reagan, except reagan did something - he screwed everything up. even though reagan cut tons of social programs to fund his STAR WARS defense system and he deregulated many industries which are now monoplozied, he is routinely polled as one of the most popular presidents of all time. performers and politics are usually a dangerous mix.

I don't care what some entertainer thinks. I care about MY agenda and what I want to seen done to change the world. Just because my friend tells me the Barry Bonds is the greatest baseball player ever, doesn't mean I'm going to believe him. And I know him PERSONALLY.

I don't know Brad Pitt personally. Why should I even THINK about voting for who he says I should vote for.

And Bono, shut the hell up. You know nothing about politics. You sing, and not very well. Do that. Don't irritate us with your 54-year old worthlessness.

Nope

Hollywood made a big push for Kerry.
Soros dump millions to get him elected.
Moveon.org did all they could.

The result Bush got the majority of votes.
