How can I remove oil stains from my garage floor and driveway?
Go to your auto parts store and get something like Ulttrasorb (made by Motlan) - which you sprinkle on oil or grease spills. It absorbs it all, if you leave it there a few days. Then just sweep it up. There are numerous products specifically for this application - and they all do a great job, and are cheap. They are essentially compounds of very absorbent materials such as dried clay. Note: To get the area 'extra clean,' after the largest part of the spill is absorbed, sweep up the dirty absorber you selected and put some fresh down. Now, use your foot to crush the absorber into smaller, finer granules. Leave that there for a day or two. The finer particles get deep into the cracks and crevices and really do the job!

Try using a degeaser like Jizer, mix it with some water and leave to soak up the oil, if that doesn't work then try using a scrubing brush with the jizer solution. Again if no joy reduce the water content until it works

meratic acid, the same acid for cleaning swimming pools. can be picked up at any pool supply store. Remember it is an acid. Don't get it on yourself and the fumes are not to be breathed. I put it on the oil stain and leave it for about 5 min. then wash it off. Repeat if necessary. You may want to do the compete area. It makes the concrete look new and white

I've seen people using Jays Fluid mixed with a little bit of water. Just pour it over the oil spots, then leave it there for minute or two and then scrub it with a hard-brisstled brush.

Its best to remove the ground first because this will prevent shorting the red or positive cable out with Ametal wrench. Shorting out a battery is a bad idea it can cause the battery occasionally to blow up in your face. the battery gives off fumes and a spark can set them off easily. Clean the inside of your black cable. Inspect it if you see a lot of black that is not good. The inside of the black cable needs to be shiny clean as does the red cable. For some reason the black one is always a lot worse than red. You can use a short wire brush and baking soda and water to clean the inside and outside of the battery cables. Always brush away from clothing and eyes. wearing eye protection is a good idea. And wash hands for several minutes after working around batteries. Any white crystal like residue or white powder is acid and with moisture it will eat holes in you and your clothes so always be careful under the hood.

Cover it with dry portland cement and let it stand for a day or two, then sweep it up. Then put kitty litter on it and grind it in with a cement block or brick. Sweep that up and the spot will be gone.

You can use kitty litter to soak up the excess oil. Then pour gasoline over the stain that is left behind.
