Sounds like you blew a head gasket. You need to have the head gasket replaced. Cracking the head of block will mix the oil too but if the car died and won't start I would say it's the head gasket. This would cause you to lose compression on two cylinders.

When there is no water in circulation which cools the engine, the engine becomes very hot and thus the term is called 'the engine is ceased', which means the valves stop working. It is also called the "the head-gasket is blown". This way in the beginning there is lot of white smoke through exhaust, when the water is completely evaporated and consumed the engine is completely ceased. You have to get the head-gasket changed, which is a lengthy and expensive process i.e. taking the engine out, grind the valves, putting new head gasket, while doing so, change new plugs with other clips and cleats. The best and inexpensive way is to buy half reconditioned engine and get it changed.

Blown head gasket sounds likely. You also don't add water to a hot engine. If you must do it, you leave the car running and add it slowly so the cold stuff can mix in with the hot. When your head gasket went, it sucked coolant into the combustion chambers and fouled the plugs. Also it mixed in with the oil.If you're lucky you didn't crack the head from adding cold water. It's probably not going to run until you do a head gasket. And from constantly overheating it, you're probably going to be changing engines in the near future after the head gasket is done.

If you have water in your oil, you have a major problem. Sence it died, the engine is probably siezed up. It was probably caused by a cracked head or blown head gasket. If the engine turns over, it isn't siezed up and you have another problem also. Small Fords such as Escorts and Fiestas are cronic for having head and head gasket problems.
You may not have any choice other than changing engines.

Sorry sounds like a cyl head gasket failure. Not many micro cars in the USA I don't know how many KM's your engine had on it or how many times the cooling fan failed to run and overheated. You are correct your engine will cost less if purchased from a carbreaker and have a mechanic install it into your little Ford.

You need to find out how this happened. It sounds like your head gasket has gone allowing the two to mix, in which case you are in for a new engine or a very expensive fix.

This sounds very much asthough the head gasket has blown, which means the cylinder head needs to come off to facilitate a repair.
Quite an expensive job on these engines.
