I think it would be more costly than people think.

Passports, hotel reservations, plane tickets, total cost of surgery, any medication they give you, three meals a day, etc. Also you should not be traveling for a bit after your surgery.

I just feel it would be safer to have it done in the states, that way if anything does happen your surgeon is right there and not countries away.

Just make sure you thoroughly research your PS, and it is strongly encouraged to see at least three PS's before choosing a surgeon to hack into you :)

Here is a good site to talk to others who have had breast surgery:

i'm interested in getting mine done in thailand too, hopefully by christmas this year, its soo much cheaper there...just make sure it's in a well known private hospital with a good reputation...make sure the doc is reputable enough and is a real plastic surgeon (check out his creditations and ask him for before-after pics of surgery he's done before)...

Breast implant surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
