More wealth in a materialistic world means more options, and relatively extended materialistic pursuits. If we have more to choose from then we have more decisions to make. But that does not mean that the people who have more choices available to them make bad decisions and there are immoral. If we have more paths in front of us then it is more likely for us to assume wrong course but is it not more or less the same for everyone. Even poor people have to make decisions and the decisions they make they are often less like to be able to reverse. I choose a neighbourhood for instance for my family home and the only money I have I spend in buying a house. Now, if the neighbourhood turns out to be a bad one I would not be able to have another house, where a rich persona can have several houses to live in wherever he likes.

There are more poor people in this world with their moral sense lost, and then there are rich people in this situation. I have seen rich people doing good in this world and poor being merciless and cruel.

It all depends upon the person you are.

More likely, yes, I think so. Not a fait accompli.
