what is the downside of masturbation? is it completely risk free?

It is risk free as long as you do not over do it. Like food, it is good for the body, but if eat too much food, you become fat. These so called studies about prostate cancer and masturbation are not yet proven. We should not take this fact as it is but make FURTHER readings and research. Moderation is still the best medicine. Nothing is completely risk-free, not even crossing the street. But like many other things in life, we do it anyway.
Perhaps what you should be asking is, given your religion and your beliefs, is it guilt-free?

There is no downside to masturbation. It hurts no one and it is absolute enjoyment. It has no equal in intensity and satisfaction when carried to orgasm.

a few things i've noticed were . . .
it stretches the skin of my penis to where it looks really flabby when not erected.
your stamina increases during sex, but sometimes not necessarily a good thing if you want to go more than once, then you have alittle trouble trying to get yourself to do so
chaffing, and finding out how to get rid of the results all the time.

The physical act may be harmless but the mental thoughts which drive you to it may cause guilt feelings. any addictive behvior is not good in the long run.

I don't think it can harm you. The only down side I would think would be if it affects the rest of your daily living. For example if you were to miss school. Because you rather stay home playing with yourself.
