I'm a huge fan of Donny Osmond,I love him to no end!<3 I was just wondering if anyone has seen Goin Coconuts? I was reading all the shows/movies he's been in,I was just curious if anyone has seen this? and if so how good it is,and maybe where I can buy it if it's out on DVD. Thanks!

Its like Donny and Marie goes Hawaii...
All the Osmonds are in it.

It has been years since I have seen it and I actually read the book first. My memory is sketchy about it, but I thought it was pretty good, but I too am an Osmond fan from way back so I might overlook more than most people. I'd like to see it again, though.
There is a DVD release of Goin' Coconuts on eBay that is doubled with another movie, Lost On Paradise Island. They are supposedly out of print now and a little pricey.

Goin Coconuts Dvd

...I remember first seeing this at the theatres, back in 1978; a sticky/sickly-sweet bit of campy candy corn, capable of inflicting a cavity or two, "Goin' Coconuts" is definately a retro time capsule curiosity piece, a likeable guilty pleasure, not unlike the likes of films like "The Pirate Movie", "Xanadu", and "Roller Boogie"

Surprisingly enough, a couple of private sellers on Amazon are STILL offering the VHS tape that saw minimal release; I, myself, happened to find one, long ago, albeit recorded and distributed in EP tape speed.

I usually play this back-to-back with the three-part episode of 'The Brady Bunch', where THEY also go to Hawaii!!!

...would mind eventually seeing a DVD release of the film, myself.....Hope! Hope! Hope!

I too remember that film. It has never been released on DVD. I'm sure it will eventually, but for now, nothing.
