You dont need the cd you can configure your unit from a web browser very easily. Just connect an ethernet cable and get a dhcp address. The router normally will be at http://192.168.0.1 you need the user name and password to enter.

Here is Dlinks manual for you.

Try this

1. Reset the router

2. On the Maintenance | Remote Administration Access screen, set the HTTP Access Port to something other than 80 to avoid any confusion, say 8080. Then you will access the router config on for Remote Administration - if you enable it - rather than getting the admin login screen by deafault. And you don't want your users seeing that rather than your homepage...

3. Unless you have a public static IP address from your ISP, allocate a local static IP address (that is, one outside the range allocated by DHCP) say 192.168.0.200

4. Use Configuration | Advanced Filtering & Firewall to set up a filter rule to enable access to port 80 on your allocated webserver address:

State: enabled
Pass Or Block: pass
Interface: ethernet
Protocol: TCP
Direction: In
Source IP: 0.0.0.0 (implies all and any)
Source Subnet Mask: 0.0.0.0
Source Start Port: 80
Source End Port: 80
Destination IP: 192.168.0.200 (or whatever you select)
Destination Subnet Mask: 0.0.0.0
Destination Start Port: 80
Destination End Port: 80
Index: New

Click Modify then Apply

5. Use Shields UP! to check that Port 80 is open

That should be it. Fire up your webserver and away you go.

Hope this helps

If you're using UNIX or Linux I'm sure you'll know how...
