Feel free to answer even if you are not a senior. If you don't mind, give your age. I am 60.

I miss that, too...though I'm 46 and will have grandkids one day. A baby is the most soothing thing to hold, rock, talk to, to love. But I also like to take a walk through my local nature park and converse with God...He's a great listener ;)

If I need comfort I usually have a bath. If I am sad I sometimes rock myself to sleep. Somehow curling up into a fetal position has some kind of protective comforting factor.

Other times I take my dog for a walk on the beach - seeing my dog romping along without a care - with a face that looks like it is smiling - and being totally in the moment reminds me of how life should be.

I am 40 next month!

I am 69 and have a beauty shop and work in it part time and I love my freedom of""NOT" taking care of people and just having myself to worry about , I have been blessed with good health and for that I am thanful. I live in a college town and I attend the plays and the arts and take computer courses and help in the community, I have been single 17 years and all the ole men I meet want a nurse or a purse,,,smiles so I shall remain single.

I am 33 and for me it is being in my husbands arms.
My Grandmother always said that she found comfort in the earth. I suppose that is why her garden was alway beautiful and plentiful. She was my comfort.

If you miss rocking babies so much, why don't you volunteer at your local hospital? I am sure their pediatric unit would welcome a grandmotherly type willing to sit for hours and rock the sick babies.
