I'm half Dutch and half Spanish and I married an Indian woman (born and raised here in the U.S.) and we traveled to Bombay (technically Mumbai in modern day) 2 years ago so I was especially interested in the conversion rates. It's about 40 to 1 for Rupee vs. US Dollar!
You can buy a starbucks "quality" from Coffee Day or Barrista for about 0.70 cents US change! That'd cost you over $4.00 here in the US! Your money will spend well in India my friend.
