I would like to start a business selling/creating homemade cards and invitations. Mainly wedding invitations, programs, etc.... but I also want to include corporate parties and all other functions like (b-day, engagement, graduations...etc.). I am STUCK.
The name needs to express/say "elegant and unquie" because these are my two main goals. My favorite color is purple(various shades).....

To Oliver T3.....PLEASE EDIT AND PROOFREAD

I hope your comment helped you get your "rocks off"....apparently this is all you go around and do. An intelligent person would know that everyone makes mistakes and errors (an ignorant person goes around correcting misspelled words)….this is a Q&A network NOT a business transaction!! I know how to spell and better yet….I know when to keep my damn comments to myself. This is a skill you should definitely learn to Master, since you have so much free time. Unfortunately, I am not seeking your approval.

Since any names that are suggested here may already be owned by another party, I wanted to go a different route...

I suggest either hiring a name creation firm or get together with your friends and/or family and throw a "name party" & have everyone bounce some ideas around. Compile a listing of names that you like the best. Once you have that list, do as much free research as you can before you delve into comprehensive research.

I listed some links where you can do some preliminary name checking. However, please be aware that this is merely scratching the surface of what's out there.

Only comprehensive research will tell you if the name is truly available. But, these links are free & a great place to start, so I'd try them out first.

Comprehensive research consists of looking at marks that are similar in Sound, Appearance or Meaning in the pending & registered Federal AND State trademark files as well as the US National Common-Law files.

There are other sites that offer free searching capabilities in conjunction with their commercial services, so I'm not able to post those links due to the Yahoo! TOS. You'll also want to check domain names & yellow pages, so simply do a search for "free domain name search" and "national yellowpages" and the appropriate links will pop up.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

How about: 'Bottom of the Barrel'?

You could advertise with this: "Need some bog standard cards printed? Not gotta lotta money? Well, you don't have much choice then, do you? That's when you turn to us........
BOTTOM OF THE BARREL Card Design, where cheap really DOES mean crap!"

How does that work for you? ;-)

By the way, the word is 'unique', not 'unquie'. Just thought I'd tell you before you get 10,000 business cards written up with the wrong spelling! lol

Plethora Place = suggested {ple' thor u} Plethora = significant quantity; unique; specific connotations; not anything relatively adore it; complete bunch of stuff, only a few duplications. Just a idea...well success!

How about RSVP? I think it sounds elegant, and I think most people would assume it has something to do with invitations or events. Plus, it's short and easy to remember!
Whatever you choose, good luck to you in your new venture!
