hit it once and it will copy your screen.
open up 'paint'
hit 'paste' or ctrl + 'V'
and it will paste the entire screen image.

YOu can use it to snag stuff and open in something like Paint. Hit printscreen on a page, go open Paint and then use Control V and piccie will appear.

print screen button "takes a picture" of your current screen...whatever is on display on your monitor at the moment it will take a picture of that and would save it to clipboard. you can retrieve that picture by opening microsoft Paint and clicking on "paste" in there. that file can then be used as a normal picture file.
try it yourself to see the results.

you use that and it copys a picture of your screen to your clipboard than you can paste it into a program like paint, so imagine you need help and your friend says wow i wish i could see the error etc you can print the screen paste it into paint save and send, also useful if you need to make a step by step tutorial by showing screen
