The problems you are talking about are malware and not viruses, however you will still need virus protection on your system.

Download adaware malware removal for free this will delete all of these problems and is a very popular program http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html

Download free CCleaner to remove all temporary files and run regularly http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

only download avg free virus protection http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/lng/us/tpl/v5#avg-anti-virus-free if you dont have an active version of norton installed as norton will remove any viruses it finds **note:- you can only have one virus protection software on your system at any time**

Hey i just had the same problem the main reason is because Norton is a weak Antivirus program you should instead use Kaspersky which has a trial or NOD32 (Its two thumbs up) you can download it for a thirty days trial and by that time you can clean all the viruses up its very effective you can download it in www.eset.com or you can delete those cookies in the cookies folder and a tip:Dont download from works computer anything, if you had cursors downloaded or smileys they offer very good(bad) viruses so good luck i hope i was of some help

for a good and free anti-virus download AVG Free edition. It's something i use personally.
Also to stay away from these tracking cookies install a adware detector software something like adware professional by lavasoft...it's free as well...just run it periodically to keep a check on spyware in your system.
you can download both from www.download.com

you might have to disable your norton antivirus temporarily or permanently...cause it's not good to keep two antivirus at the same time..they have issues with each other.

I recommend going to www.download.com and getting ad-aware 2007.. it will solve most of you issues.. since what you have from what i understood is mostly trojans and trackers not viruses, this is why norton didnt pick them all.. norton isnt all that powerful getting rid of those stuff. Best of luck

I think that you should come clean to your boss and tell him that you've been spending hours on MSN and other sites that are well know for distribution of virus's and spyware. Perhaps he will be understanding or perhaps wrap your computer in a plastic bag and make you wear a sign to warn off your colleagues.. for example. *** don't touch my .... - i've got more than one virus **, or ** unclean **, or 'dontcha wish your pc was infected like me(mine)', lol xx good luck xx (don't forget to wear gloves in future, safe computing is safe for all )

Try Trend Micro PC-Cillin anti- Virus, It has found and cleaned several viruses that Norton couldn't. I've had it for about a year, and it works great.

First check to see if your virus definitions are up to date. If your subscription to nortons has run out, delete it and install a free one like AVG anti-virus. They also have a free anti-spyware tools.
