depends on how many animals in the zoo, how many predators, a tiger consumes at least 9Kg meat per day, and a elephant consumes hundreds Kg of grass...

so If a zoo have 10 predators like tiger's size, adding some other animals, a Middle sized zoo, it'll cost approximately at least 5,000 USD per day.

Daily as well as monthly it can really vary since during the year diets can change as well food donations are made.

Most zoos go by a yearly cost... ours for example in 2005 ours was about $660,000.

It also changes from zoo to zoo as seeing the size of their collections are different. Most zoos will publish how much they spend per year on food... if there is a certain zoo you are wondering about try checking their webpage or calling.

I don't know, but I'm sure it's a lot. That's why zoos are so dependent on monetary donations. That's money I'm willing to spend, because I love animals.
