I don't know what they do to us, but crying is hard. I've been known to cry. I cried like a baby when talking to my psychologist. I generally get low and worked up, without shedding a tear.

Even at family funerals I've found it a real strain not being able to cry. It took ten years to cry about the death of my grandad.

There is no such thing as a "real man"

Real men cry in the open when a family member or a loved one dies. They also cry in secret when no one is around to see them crying if they really need to cry. Even tough football players ball like babies after losing a tough battle on the gridiron. Society has taught us that real men should not cry in public because it shows them as being weak or insecure, too emotional, or simply unmanly. I think it shows that we have feelings and we are human.

A real man is a dodgy expression! I know men who cry a lot and it drives me nuts because women fall at their feet. I also know men who never cry that deserve my complete respect. I think it's more about when it is appropriate to cry, not just the action of tears.

It takes an extreme amount of emotional pain for a "real man" to cry.

i honestly do believe that, only because guys have so much pride and many don't like to see themselves vulnerable becasue it could potentially make them look vulnerable to certain situations. And thats te ladt thing they want, so they figure they shouldn't cry about anything. But truthfully it does take a real man to cry. only becasue they know it's not about that or what anyone thinks about them.

I think it takes a real man to fake crying. A man who doesn't cry is pretty tough, but a man who doesn't cry AND can cry on cue is a tough dude. Because he can really control his emotions.

Nope. Thats just a load of c#@p. Any man could cry at any age. People suffering from depression could start crying at any second.
