have summer break from school or is this just in America? When I was in school we got out about June 1st and didn't go back until after Labor Day. Our kids now get out the last of May and go back the last of July. Just curious...

Here in the UK kids will have end of summer term around Mid July, and return to school during the first week of September for Autumn Term.

here in Spain the kids finish this week on the 21st June and don't go back till September the 10th more or less so 3 months of holidays which is too long by the time they go back they have forgotten everything they learnt from the last term

In the UK we tend to leave school mid July and return at the start of September x

my friend is an exchange student from germany, and they had all year school. with a 2 week summer break.....

in oz we have 4 holiday breaks thru the year.... 3 two week breaks and then 6 weeks over x-mas (our summer)....
