Because war was declared on the US in 1998 by bin Laden.

That good enough for you?

The agenda of the neoconservative is an expansion of the American way of life, even by force. They firmly believe, unlike the older conservatives, that we must spread "democracy" preemptively. We used to be a 2nd strike nation. We would not start any war but we would finish it. Thus, Afghanistan was an semi approriate reprisal but then we were lied into Iraq.

Bush, is an elitist. He knows what is best for all of us whether we think we know it or not, thus IRAQ, thus the Illegal Immigration "compromise". Since we don't know what is good for us, he will "lead" and "educate us" on how misguided and wrong we are. This is why he won't take any other viewpoint and hasn't to this point. He knows he is right and he will not accept any answer contrary to his own position of being correct.

So we fight. We tell people not that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself, no..Bush tells us we're safe but not safe enough.

I particularly enjoy this quote from Bill Maher:
When they say the terrorists want the Democrats to win, you say, "Are you insane? George Bush has been a terrorist's wet dream." He inflames radical hatred against America and then runs on offering to protect us from it. It's like a guy throwing s**t on you and then selling you relief from the flies.

Bush thinks he is right, and he's made it clear that anyone who disagrees with him is against him, period.

If bush was serious about the war on terror he would not have attacked Iraq but instead he would have sent out agents(spies, counter terrorists, call them what you will) with the aim of running down Ossama and Co. Couple that with some massive rewards for information and you might have had a lot more success than you are having now. And you might only have had a couple of dozen casualties instead of the 3000+ you have had so far. Don't forget all the Iraqi's who have paid with their lives too.

Because a handfull of nutbars got lucky with the extreme magnitude of 9/11 (even they were reprortedly shocked).
So a few, 19, bombers get through from Saudi Arabia and Bush decides to tear apart an entire nation, Iraq. is he going to be in a spider hole when they come for him? You know someone somewhere is gonna come after him. PS They are using imigration to deflect what he is doing in the middle east right now, pretty smart huh?Look up circlejerk in the dictionary, you will find several pics of our pres thinking....!

He is using the american sympathy to proceed what the zionist regime in Israel want. The Definition of Terrorism itself is unclear till today, and Bush Administration applied Double Standard (like the rest of US Presidency Policy) towards any countries who's opposed to the US foreign policy -in this case the zionist regime's policy-. Bush is from Texas, right ? Of course they love to have a war, terrorism is just another reason for them to start one.

He is commander in chief. In 17 months , another homosapien will occupy the oval office, and Iraq will continue to be a mess, whether our troops are there or somewhere else. Terrorism will continue as long as the Muslim/Islamic hate cults and cultures indoctrinate their youths to be agents of destruction and hate.

Oh gee, maybe its the fact that for the last 30 years or so the Muslims have been making war on the US. Why do you object when we finally decide to shoot back?

Your query is not clear at all, but in the event I have decifered it, here goes. Apparently the majority of the world's people just don't fathom the critical factor that radical Islam wants to rule the world thru their phony, concocted "religion", for if you don't accept it, you must die! Allah is not a God, but Satan himself. I don't want to fight them here in the streets of the US & I fully suspect the only way to defeat them, especially Iran's little Hitler is to nuke their nuke program if Israel doesn't do it in a timely manner.

Look up, September 11, 2001....

do you remember what happen on that day?

I remember...

The whole world watched on live TV the deadliest attack on America in its history.... and it was an attack on American Citizeens. On our people, with the intention of killing as many americans as possible.

We dropped 2 atom bombs on Japan for attacking us at Pearl Harbor... We take it VERY SERIOUSLY when we are attacked....

so my opinion, to why bush is on this war on terror is because he has to be... we were attacked, and weren´t in Iraq, or Afganistan or anywhere in the middle east when this happen. so it wasn´t a response to our presence there. and Now, 6 years later and we are there, bringing the fight to the enemy... and we see no more attacks, only empty threats of more...

if you were the president of a country that was attacked, would you not go on the offensive? or would you sit back and wait to be attacked again? Afterall, they declared war on us first.

GWB likes to be at war. It gives him the excuse to invade countries, disregard the US constitution and is an easy subject for him to sell. Besides, the people in the USA are familiar with the term. "War on poverty", "War on drugs", and now "war on terror".
It is good for armament makers, GWB friends.
