I mean Mark Cuban can be an idiot sometimes, but it seems like people taunt him for saying what's on his mind. He seems to be a generous down to earth guy who loves the game of basketball and just so happens to make alot of money. What do y'all think?

Mark Cuban is a loud, spoiled, immature, shallow jerk. Let me tell you when I first started to hate him. Several years ago, he was on some show where he was asked about the worst blind date he ever went on. He told of going to the girl's apartment to pick her up and when she opened the door, "she was so ugly..." That was the extent of his answer. Nothing about her personality, her mentality, nothing. He thought she was ugly, so that made for the worst date he'd ever had.
To this day, I pray that that poor girl never saw the show.
He can make all the money in the world; it still won't buy him any character.
I also agree that he's made some incredibly stupid decisions that have hurt the Mavs.
(F)akers, if I could give your answer a star, I would.

He's the NBA version of the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase from the world wrestling federation back in the days. The dude was so rich, he felt he could buy anyone or anything with money. Cuban is so rich that he like to say stuff to the media or in his blog just so he could get fined by the NBA. There is a fine line between being charismatic and being an a55.

I kinda like Cuban, but he gets a little obnoxious from time to time. When Shaq does stuff like that, it's funny but for some reason when Cuban does, it doesn't come off as funny, it comes off as mean or rude. I think that's partially why people don't like him. Also, they are jealous cause he's young (relatively) and rich and turned around one of the worst franchises and made them a consistently good team (so far). No matter how much he gets on my nerves, I like his passion for the Mavs and the game in general. He seems like he really, really cares for his team and the guys. I wasn't for trading Nash or letting Nelly go, but it worked out good for everyone, so who am I to say it was wrong?

I think that people dislike Mark Cuban because he thinks that he is on the Mavs coaching staff. The only time we should hear from or see an owner is when the Championship trophy is being presented to the team. Other than that, his job is to hire the right guys for the job, cut their checks, and fire the guys who aren't doing their job right. Cuban thinks he can change the rules of the game. If he wants to decide the rules and what not, he should create his own league, he has enough cash to do it. I'm not saying I "hate" Cuban, I'm just trying to explain why I think he is so disliked.

Hmmm generous down to earth guy?

Not down to earth thats for sure, I like him too but
it was funny when he made fun of stern and nba refs,
but to go after Nelly? not sign Nash? let Finley go?
Take center stage during the finals and cry about
the refs, just made Miami get more motiviation to
win, so sometimes even when he is right, he needs
to shut it, because he hurts his team, I like his passion
but he need to understand pissing off the other team
does not help his team win.

this is a picture of him, not down to earth

He can become very obnoxious and annoying.

That put aside it is nice to see an owner in any sport actually have more interest in the game than putting more seats into an arena.

Unfortunately we common people think cuban is down to earth and cool. fact is he is just as greedy, selfish, expoitative, cruel, and ruthless as the rockefellers. Same goes for pseudo bohemian billionaire Richard Branson of Virgin inc fame. i think it is silly to point out what he may have done to one person. the fact is he is screwing us all we the 99%

he's rich and always in the spotlight. (paris hilton syndrome maybe?) people aren't used to owners being that way.

and everything shaq says and does is annoying - so not funny
